Why we named it 2men.co

The thesis behind the name: in the AI-First decade, the most defensible companies will be run by 2 founders and a roster of specialised agents — each grounded in the company's own SOPs.

We didn't pick the name 2men.co because it's a domain hack. We picked it because it's a thesis.

The next decade's most defensible companies won't be the ones with the biggest teams. They'll be the ones run by two founders and ten specialised agents, each grounded in the company's own SOPs and wired to the systems-of-record those founders already use.

The hire / agent trade

Look at the org chart of a 20-person traditional company. Sales coordinator, marketing assistant, operations lead, finance ops, compliance reviewer, recruitment coordinator, customer support tier-1, research analyst, ops intern, growth associate. Ten roles whose job description is mostly "reading rules and applying them to inputs that arrive every day".

That's the exact shape of work that LLMs grounded in your SOPs do well. Not the strategic calls, not the customer relationships, not the judgment on edge cases — those still need people. But the "read the rules and apply them" layer is now an agent that runs 24/7, never gets tired, and never forgets the policy you updated three months ago.

Why "grounded" matters

A generic chatbot makes up answers. An agent grounded in your Business Brain — a versioned, plain-text knowledge base of how your company actually operates — reads the relevant section before answering, quotes the source, and follows your rules.

That's the difference between "let's bolt ChatGPT onto our team" (cute, brittle, will embarrass you in front of a customer) and an AI-First company (defensible moat, compounding returns).

This isn't a vision-deck future. At Hope Hospital, DrmHope, BNI 121, and Linkist NFC, the same pattern is in production right now: pharmacy reorder agent, SCADA alarm engine, CRM follow-up bot, NFC outreach drafter — each reading from a private Business Brain, each one a former hire.

The Be AI-First Playbook is how you do it too. Ten sequential steps, twelve weeks, with confetti.

2 humans. 10 agents. One enterprise.
